Yes, if you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and referral from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates on sessions with registered psychologists, clinical psychologists and accredited mental health social workers. This can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket cost.

Many private health insurance policies include a psychology or counselling benefit under extras cover. The amount you can claim depends on your fund and level of cover. We recommend checking directly with your insurer. Equana Minds can provide a receipt you can use to claim from your fund after each session.

When you book a session, you’ll be asked to provide your card details to complete the booking.  Our practice management system Halaxy securely stores your data, read more here. Your card won’t be charged straight away, as payment is processed automatically 2 days before your scheduled session.

This means you can lock in your appointment without any money leaving your account on the day you book.

We ask that you give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee. If something unexpected comes up, please reach out as early as possible.
