Yes, if you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and referral from your GP, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates on sessions with registered psychologists, clinical psychologists and accredited mental health social workers. This can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket cost.

Many private health insurance policies include a psychology or counselling benefit under extras cover. The amount you can claim depends on your fund and level of cover. We recommend checking directly with your insurer. Equana Minds can provide a receipt you can use to claim from your fund after each session.

When you book, you will be charged the full cost of the session. Your card details will be saved by our secure third party provider to be used for subsequent payments when future sessions are booked. You may reschedule or cancel 48 hours before your session, without incurring a cancellation fee. See our cancellation policy below.

We ask that you give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee. If something unexpected comes up, please reach out as early as possible.
