Patrick Browne is a registered counsellor holding a Master of Counselling (MCouns) and a Master of IT Leadership (MITLdshp). Based in regional Victoria, he works primarily online and supports clients across Australia.
Patrick works with individuals and couples across a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, relationship difficulties, anger and emotional regulation, life transitions, and questions of identity and purpose. He also offers couples counselling, supporting partners in rebuilding communication, navigating conflict, and strengthening connection. His approach is grounded in person-centred therapy, integrated with trauma-informed practice, cognitive behavioural techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Sessions are practical, collaborative, and shaped around what each client genuinely needs.
Alongside his general practice, Patrick holds a specialist interest in men’s counselling and behaviour change. He is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Client Assessment and Case Management through Swinburne University in partnership with No to Violence, deepening his knowledge and skills in this space. He has a particular appreciation for helping men engage with their mental health in a way that feels accessible and real, often for the very first time.
Patrick is committed to inclusive, affirming practice and warmly welcomes clients of all backgrounds, races, genders, sexual orientations, and faiths. He is actively involved in a local men’s group and approaches every client with the same straightforward warmth he’d want for anyone he cares about.
