My name is Susana Alarcón Jimenez, and I am a registered counsellor based in Australia. I specialise in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress, grief and loss, as well as challenges related to self-esteem and confidence.
My approach is collaborative and client-centred. Together, we work towards your personal goals in a safe and supportive space. When appropriate, I provide worksheets and helpful information to support your understanding of what you are experiencing and to offer practical tools that can assist you between sessions.
I was born in the beautiful town of Malaga, Spain. At 29, I made a meaningful decision to change the direction of my career and follow my passion for supporting others by studying psychology.
After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I moved to the United Kingdom, where I lived in London for several years. During this time, I continued my studies and later relocated to Bristol to complete a Master’s degree in Health Psychology.
While in the UK, I also worked with the National Health Service as a mental health assistant, supporting individuals experiencing a range of emotional and psychological challenges.
In 2020, I moved to Australia and completed a Master’s degree in Counselling at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Since then, I have worked with children, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds.
I feel truly privileged to walk alongside people during difficult times in their lives and to witness their growth and resilience.
What I offer is a safe, compassionate, and supportive space where you can explore your experiences and begin to thrive.
