Hello!
Early in my work as a psychologist in Brazil, I learned something that has never left me: alongside suffering, there is always something that insists on living. That discovery continues to guide my practice today.
I now live and work across languages and cultures – an experience that has shaped not only who I am, but how I listen. My first meaningful experience as a psychologist was within Social Assistance services. There, I had the opportunity to listen to many different lives and ways of seeing the world. I built meaningful connections with the people I worked with and learned deeply from them as well. That work outside the traditional clinical setting became part of my practice too, bringing a particular warmth to the way I work.
My clinical experience also includes working with LGBTQIA+ communities, people navigating anxiety and depression, and individuals whose lives are shaped by race, migration and social realities. I have also worked with many immigrants and I remain involved in community initiatives supporting migrant and LGBTQIA+ populations.
As a counsellor grounded in psychoanalytic thinking, I see therapy as a space to listen to the wounds and the delights of existence. I value giving therapy the space and time it needs. Space to speak. Space to pause. Space to reflect. Time for things to unfold without being rushed or forced. I am a listener of both the big and the small struggles. Sometimes what seems insignificant carries unexpected depth. In the therapeutic setting, everything can have a place.
I also love poetry, and perhaps that is why I believe in the poetry of each person who sits in front of me.
But I’ve already said too much. Shall we continue the conversation in person?
I am a registered Counsellor (Level 4) with a Master’s degree in Psychology. I have experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQIA+ communities and migrants, supporting anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
My approach is grounded in psychoanalytic thinking, offering a safe and respectful space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. Sessions available in English and Portuguese.
I work with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I also support individuals exploring identity, belonging, and relationship challenges. I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ communities and migrants, including those navigating cultural adjustment, displacement, and questions of identity. I welcome both ongoing therapeutic work and those seeking support during specific moments of difficulty.
My work is primarily informed by psychoanalytic psychotherapy, with a focus on open exploration and attentive listening. I offer a reflective and supportive space where thoughts, feelings, and experiences can be explored in depth, at a pace that feels right for you.
I also integrate elements of relational and culturally sensitive practice, particularly when working across different backgrounds and life experiences.
I enjoy reading and writing, especially poetry, and I value quiet moments and meaningful conversations. I also love TV shows. Living across cultures has shaped how I connect with others and how I understand the world.
I love the ocean and feel most at peace in nature and warm places. I value closeness and connection – I love hugs and really miss hugging my loved ones.
