Orapan Machin is a registered psychologist with over 10 years of experience in the mental health sector. She is known for her calm, compassionate approach and her ability to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and understood. Orapan works with individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

Orapan holds a Master of Professional Psychology from La Trobe University, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Honours) from the University of Canberra, and a Bachelor of Psychological Science from James Cook University. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and has worked across a variety of settings, including disability services, community mental health, and aged care.

She has experience supporting clients with a wide range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, complex trauma, psychosocial disability, ADHD, autism, acquired brain injury, schizophrenia, and early-onset dementia. Orapan also works with individuals navigating relationship challenges, grief and loss, cultural adjustment, and life transitions.

Her therapeutic approach is collaborative and tailored to each client’s needs. She draws on evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Family-Focused Therapy (FFT) to support meaningful and sustainable change.

Orapan is multilingual, offering sessions in English, Thai, and Lao, and brings an understanding of both Eastern and Western cultural perspectives. Outside of work, she enjoys learning to play the drum kit and spending time at the beach with her Airedale Terrier.
